Pilgrimage to the Tamba Seven Lucky Gods
Among the many Seven Lucky Gods pilgrimages in Japan, the Tamba Seven Lucky Gods Pilgrimage, said to be the fastest in Japan, is also popular as a walking course. The pilgrimage follows the San’in Kodo trail at the foot of Ushimatsuyama in Chitose Town, covering approximately 5km from the first temple, Jinno-ji, to the seventh temple, Toko-ji.
The breeze blowing through the landscape of countryside, the quiet chirping sound of birds, the view of the Kameoka Basin spreading out below through clearing morning mist, the spring cherry blossoms, and the autumn leaves – all create a truly calm atmosphere.
