[Who We Are]

Officially founded in 2018, KWSe is a member of the Japan National Tourism Organization as an SGG (Systematized Good will Guide). We are the general public, senior supporters, providing good volunteer services with hospitality. We are not professional guides. However, we are working to improve our skills as volunteer guides. We want international tourists to enjoy Kyoto to the fullest and experience more of Kyoto. It is our pleasure to show you Kyoto through our locals’ eyes. And also we hope you will explore our local authentic cultures.

Our activities are unique and diverse. At Kyoto’s famous popular spots and at festivals and events, we support international tourists, providing information, helping to solve problems, etc.

[What Is the City of Kyoto?]

Kyoto was the capital of Japan where the Emperors had lived for over 1200 years until the capital function was moved to Tokyo about 150 years ago. There are many World Heritage Sites and you can visit and enjoy them. And also we hope you will explore our local authentic cultures yourself.
